Cell suspensions were separated into membrane and cytosol fractions by ultracentrifuge. Western blot confirmed that compared to control (C), treatment with 25 μM zoledronic acid (Z) could not modify membrane-association of mutant K-Ras in H358 and A549, while in LCLC-103H prenylation of wild type K-Ras was inhibited. H1975 cells showed approx. 50 percentage decrease, while zoledronic acid did not inhibit prenylation of wild type K-Ras in H1650 cells. Na/K-ATPase was applied as loading control.
